Introduction to Visible Mending

Learn creative mending techniques like patching and darning to extend the life of your well-loved clothing and build a more sustainable wardrobe. This course is open to all skill levels, and all necessary materials will be provided to create a visible mending sampler. Feel free to bring your own clothing for repair, though it's not required.

Felting as a Mending Technique

Learn a fun technique to repair knit fabrics and add beautiful embroidery embellishments. Feel free to bring your own clothing to work on, or practice using the sample fabrics we provide!

Mending Circle: Sweater, Socks, and Denim Repair

This class offers a flexible, hands-on experience where you can bring in items to repair or practice mending techniques on a denim square we provide.

Make Your Own Needle Book

Learn visible mending techniques like patching and embroidery, gaining the skills to creatively repair your clothing. At the end, you'll leave with your own mending kit to continue your projects at home!

Sashiko Stitches

Learn about the history of Sashiko, a technique to reinforce worn fabric and/or repair textiles, and work on some Sashiko samplers. Attendees can also bring in woven (not stretchy) clothing they would like to practice this technique on.
